Ron Kubati

Ron Kubati was born in Tirana. In 1991 he moved to Bari, where he completed his doctorate in modern and contemporary philosophy, at the same time dedicating himself to writing and translation. In Albania he has published a collection of poems Midis shpreses dhe endrres (“Tra speranza e sogno”, Tirana Editrice 1992), while in Italy he published the novels Va e non torna (2000 - premio Grotteria), M (2002), Il buio del mare (2007 – prize-winner at La festa nazionale dell'Unita' and prize winner at Citta' di Sassari, 2009). He has also written many essays and stories in collective volumes and has collaborated with various magazines and dailies. Kubati currently lives and works in Chicago.
