Aldo Cazzullo is one of Italy’s most respected and well-known journalists. After working at “La Stampa,” in Turin for fifteen years, Cazzullo became a special correspondent for “Corriere della Sera” in 2003. He has covered the Olympics in Athens and Beijing, the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the G8 summit of Genoa, the murders of Massimo D’Antona and Marco Biagi, the victories of Bush, Erdogan, Sarkozy, Zapatero, and Obama, as well as the 2010 midterm elections in the U.S. He is a regular presence on Italian television political programs, the author of twelve books. His most recent publication is titled Viva L'Italia (Mondadori 2010) and was written to mark the coming year's 150th anniversary of Italy's unification. The Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago had the pleasure of hosting Aldo Cazzullo's book presentation of Viva L'Italia in early November 2010. Cazzullo is the winner of four major Italian literary awards: the Capalbio Award (Il caso Sofri, 2004), the Estense Award (I grandi vecchi, 2006), the Fregene Award (Outlet Italia, 2007), and the Pannunzio Libri Award (L'Italia de noantri, 2009).
