Andrea Branzi

Architect and designer Andrea Branzi was born in Florence and has lived in Milan since 1973. From 1964 to 1974 he was part of the Archizoom Associati, an avant garde internationally-known group, whose projects are conserved today at Centro Studi e Archivio della Communicazione of the University of Parma. His graduation thesis and numerous projects are saved in the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
Branzi is a co-founder of the Domus Academy, a leading international post-graduate school for design. He is an author of many books on design history and theory and he has curated many design exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
In 1987, Branzi received the “Compasso d’Oro” award. He is a professor at the Politecnico of Milan.
