by Rosella Bozzone Costa
A course of Italian language and culture for foreign students
2nd Edition
This deeply revised second edition of a very successful course edited by Loescher in 1995 has maintained the general lines of the original project.
The course is addressed to adult foreign students at the upper intermediate level, to increase their knowledge of the Italian language and culture. The course is based on the communicative approach suitable for the classroom, as well as for self teaching.
It emphasizes the importance of developing a well structured grammatical knowledge. The materials include: self-assessment sheets, a section of grammar reference, the keys to all the exercises and the text of the recordings.
The text is divided into 12 units, each containing:
- selection of the most relevant sites on the themes and topics discussed (the section Navigando);
- self-assessment section (at the end of each unit);
- testing section;
- grammar reference section.
