The publishing house Maria Pacini Fazzi was founded in Lucca in 1966; the city became a fundamental starting point for the first demanding publishing works, based on the history and art of Lucca. In the following years, the interest expanded to the rest of Tuscany and finally to subjects not necessarily linked to the Tuscan province.
New sectors came to life, like the bibliographical series, history of literature, sociology, philosophy, theatre, without forgetting the many books on cuisine. The actual catalogue includes more than three hundred titles, which, we believe, have a common denominator: quality, a quality that starts with a taste for producing books that are a little bit out of the common and from the pleasure of making books as artisans would.
