The Institute is a comprehensive, hands-on course that helps retailers develop and execute effective strategic plans. From developing your store’s business plan to inventory management, finances, marketing, and sales and customer service best practices, the course helps retailers quickly learn how to professionally manage their business ministry.
The National Christian Retail Institute is one of three ways retailers may take PCR sessions and tests. Retailers also may take them online at any time convenient for them, or at live sessions during the International Christian Retail Show.
Participants may test out of any PCR module before attending the Institute—if desired—to expedite the certification process. Once all sessions associated with a specific PCR module (including exercises and handouts) are completed, participants may test for certification in that module. After passing the module exam, participants receive a PCR certificate of completion.
Once certified in all nine PCR modules, participants will have completed a strategic plan for their store to submit for review by a panel of Christian-retail experts. The panel will rate the plan on a pass/fail basis.
Institute instructors include CBA staff experts and qualified retail experts from the retail channel.
To learn more, call (800) 252-1950, or e-mail info@cbaonline.org. Learn more at PCR program.

The SFIGF returns to a 5 day schedule in February of 2007 reverting to our traditional Wednesday Noon close for the majority of exhibits (North Hall exhibits will close Tuesday evening). Added hours will give you more time at market — a market in the center of the world's 7th largest economy. That's right California is almost a nation unto itself (but we knew that, didn't we?), with Northern California generating most of the fuel that runs this powerful economy.
Stop & Compare — San Francisco hotel rates during market are lower than competitive national shows The exhibits at the SFIGF run the gamut of product - drawing retailers from galleries, wineries, major department and chains to the country store. Moscone Center is where the action is. 17 divisions with 7 divisions juried for product, quality and presentation - it does not get any better than this. Special incentives for buyers. You buy, we pay! Our buyer rewards program is the best, rewarding retailers for doing their job with free hotel nights, cash back and exhibitor prizes. Oh, by the way - you'll be in San Francisco, voted once again America's favorite city - A world-class city with a robust economy, temperate climate and a welcoming spirit.
