BookExpo America 2012

June 5 - June 7, 2012

May 2012 – The Italian Trade Commission announces Italy’s official participation at BookExpo America 2012 (June 5-7) with “Sistema Italia”, a showcase of books, catalogues and multimedia products from the following 14 Italian exhibitors:

Sistema Italia, Booth #4008, will provide the opportunity to meet with Italian representatives from Atlantyca, Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Cartiere del Garda, Corraini Edizioni, Gruppo Editoriale Zanardi, Logos, Moon, Piccin Nuova Libraria, Romano Libri, Round Robin Editrice, and White Star Edizioni.

Additional Italian publishers participating at BookExpo America 2012 are 24 ORE Cultura/Alinari 24 ORE (Art, Photography, Coffee Table) at Booth RC103 and Rizzoli International Publications (Art, Architecture, Photography) at Booth 3969 and 3970.

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce (Bureau of Census), in 2011 Italy was among the major foreign suppliers of books, newspapers and other printed matter, exporting $96 million of products, in particular dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibles, newspapers and journals.

The Italian Trade Commission is the government agency entrusted with promoting trade, industrial and technological cooperation, and disseminating economic information regarding Italy abroad. The Chicago Office is responsible, among others, for the publishing sector, as well as maintaining and regularly updating its publishing website.
