VERGA FOTOGRAFO (Verga as a photographer)

The volume collects for the first time the prints of 448 negative plates by Giovanni Verga, found out in 1996, in the birth house of the writer in Catania, by professor Giovanni Garra Agosta. The volume is made up of three sections: the first includes an introduction of professor Mario Sipala and an original contribution of the writer Vincenzo Consolo; the second gives a description of the most meaningful photos; the third contains the whole catalogue. From the photos it is possible to reconstruct Verga’s travels in Italy and abroad.
