Founded in 1976, EDT publishes music books, travel literature, and children’s books. Since 1992 it publishes the Italian edition of Lonely Planet guidebooks and distributes the foreign editions in Italy. Since 2011 EDT publishes the German travel guides MarcoPolo. In 2012 EDT purchased Extra, a magazine on culture, events and gastronomy in Turin and in 2013 it released ‘I Cento’, a set of new guides to restaurants in Italian cities and the Allacarta series, in which Italian writers combine their loves of food, travel and writing.
