Italian Bookstores to re-open

Italian bookstores are now allowed to open to public, but how?

On April 14th, the Italian Government officially ruled that bookstore may be allowed to let one person into a store at a time. The decision seems to be a small compromise towards the end of the locked down initiatives and towards the healing of the country.

Ricardo Franco Levi, director of the main Italian publishers association (Associazione Italiana Editori, AIE) has welcomed the news of this light opening stating that it also comes down to each store’s own decision as to if, how and when to re-open, in order to protect the health of both customers and sellers.

The most important shared message is that everybody values life over commerce and therefore any government’s initiatives should be taken with that in mind
